The United States Postal Service is looking to hire 100 people for jobs around the Akron area.

The postal service will hold a drive-thru job fair at the Akron Five Points Post Office on Sunday. Starting wages range form $16.87 to $23.74 an hour.

It will be a drive-thru event, with lanes set up so people can drive up to human resources specialists on site. A USPS spokesperson said they can receive information about the jobs and learn how to apply. 

People can walk up to the event if they don’t have a vehicle. 

According to a news release from the USPS, the agency is hiring city carrier assistants, rural carrier associates, postal support employees, mail handler assistants, and tractor-trailer operators. These positions perform mail handling, mail processing, driving, mail delivery, or a combination of duties. 

A Class (A) commercial drivers license (CDL) is required to be a tractor-trailer operator.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and pass a background investigation and medical assessment.
