
Coface South Africa has announced the appointment of Kavita Ramjee as Chief Human Resource Officer. On a regional level, Ramjee will be reporting to Hassen Bennour, CEO – Middle East & Southern Africa, Coface. On a local level, she will be reporting to Jacqui Jooste, CEO and Country Manager – South Africa, Coface. In her new role, Ramjee will lead the HR function and HR value chain for South Africa, Dubai, and Egypt. “My key priorities in this role will be to ensure that Coface is seen as “Employer of Choice” in terms of attracting and retaining talent and to focus on digital transformation, diversity, and inclusivity within the organization,” Ramjee told ETHRWorld.
She further said, “With this role, I will have exposure to a greater percentage of the experts within the Mediterranean & Africa region and will leverage their support. This independence will allow me to be successful and flourish in terms of my career growth and aspirations. One of the main values of the Coface brand is collaboration, and being able to work between different countries in the region is something I am looking forward to.”

Ramjee is a veteran HR leader with experience in managing a multi-generational workforce, HR digital transformation, and working in multi-dimensional industries. She is also passionate about Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Robotics, and Industry 4.0. In her previous stint, Ramjee was associated with Cassava as Head of HR operations. Prior to that, she had worked with Econet Wireless South Africa, Terra Firma Solutions, and Jindal Africa. Ramjee holds a BCom Honours Degree in Industrial Organisational Psychology from the University of South Africa.
