
Japan’s jobless rate fell to 2.8% in July, while the availability of jobs rose from the previous month, government data showed on Tuesday.
The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was below the median forecast of 2.9%, which was also the reading in June.
The jobs-to-applicants ratio was 1.15, up from 1.13 in the previous month and above a Reuters poll of 1.12, labor ministry data showed.
