Organizers of the HR Technology Conference and Exposition have announced that COVID-19 vaccinations will be required for entry to the event next month in Las Vegas.

The policy is designed to help ensure the health and wellbeing of all participants at the conference, which takes place from Sept. 28-Oct. 1 at Mandalay Bay, said Rebecca McKenna, vice president, global events and publisher at LRP Media Group.

“We’re excited to get to see you in Las Vegas next month and look forward to hosting a safe and rewarding event for you! During the past 18 months, we’ve all missed the meaningful in-person interactions that typically take place at HR Tech,” the conference team wrote in an email sent Monday to participants. “After assessing the current climate, we’ve determined the best way to help everyone feel more comfortable at HR Tech as well as to provide a further wellness safeguard is to require all HR Tech 2021 participants to show proof of vaccination against COVID-19.”

To support the vaccination policy, the conference will partner with a third-party vendor to assist with verification.
